IBPS Post officer Exam 2016 Syllabus & Pattern Details:
IBPS PO Exam syllabus subject wise:
It contains topics like vocabulary, general usage, grammar, comprehension, error detection to check eligibility of candidates in English language.
It contains mainly two topics such as verbal logical reasoning where blood relation, sitting arrangement and non-verbal reasoning analogy and classification.
It contains topics like game with numbers & figures like addition/subtraction/multiplication/average etc, it also contains data interpretation for graphs/bars etc.
This topic consist knowledge of current events in country in various fields like economics, politics, sports, science and banking etc.
This topic is only including in the exam to check knowledge of applicants in computer H/w & S/w.
Exam paper of IBPS PO is divided into 2 parts which is prelims and main exam.
In Prelims exams there are total 3 parts which contains 100 marks. Time period of examination is 60 minutes. All 3 papers are divided as following:
- Paper 1 contains English language which is of 30 marks.
- Paper 2 contains Quantitative Aptitude which is of 35 marks.
- Paper 3 contains reasoning ability which is of also 35 marks.
Each question carry 1 mark for each in all three papers.
Main exam contains total 5 papers which is consist 200 marks total. Time duration for main exams is 120 minutes.
Five papers are divided as follow:
- Paper-1: It contains Reasoning section of 50 marks.
- Paper-2: It contains English section of 40 marks.
- Paper-3: It contains Quantitative Aptitude of 50 marks.
- Paper-4: It contains General Knowledge of 40 marks.
- Paper-5: It computer Knowledge of 20 marks.
Each question carries one mark for each.
Candidates have to keep in mind that there is also negative marking system is applicable. For each incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be minus from total. So we advised all the candidates to attempt every question very carefully.
Every candidates need to obtain at least marks to qualify in the exams. There are various criteria for each category candidates. For open category need to obtain minimum 24 marks and for reserved category minimum 21 marks require to obtain.
