CBSC UGC National Eligibility Test 2017 registration will be starts from 17th October 2016 from the official website Students who are looking forward for career in teaching or wanted to apply for Junior Research Fellowships they have to register and clear this University grant commission NET 2017. Before applying online candidate are requested to check eligibility criteria and syllabus. Interested candidate have to apply on or before 16th November 2016. Candidates have to apply for this examination in this time duration; late entries will not be accepted.

Central Board of Secondary Education every year takes National Eligibility Test on behalf of University grant commission. UGC is statutory body which is set by central government to maintain education level in the country. Main task of the commission is to Grade Universities by the performance. Every single university which is in India has to get clearance from UGC and thus thousands of University in India is affiliated with commission.  Apart from that every year UGC takes National eligibility test for the aspirants of Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Junior Research Fellowships. CBSC board takes NET examination on the behalf of UGC Twice a year. For the January 2017 Exam, registration process will begun on 17th October 2016. Candidates have to apply online from the official website

CBSC UGC National Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria

  • Master Degree with minimum 55% marks.
  • Minimum 50% marks for students belonging to SC/ST/PWD/OBC
  • Final Year students can apply for the examination.

CBSC UGC National Eligibility Test Age Limit    

  • For JRF: not more than 28 years
  • For Professor: No Age Limit Bar for any students

CBSC UGC National Eligibility Test Exam Fees

  • For general: 600 INR
  • For OBC: 300 INR
  • For SC/ST: 150 INR

How to apply for CBSE University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test 2017

  • NET aspirants will need Working email id and Phone number
  • Visit official website and click on apply online for CBSC UGC NET 2017
  • Fill all the required details asked by the website
  • After filling the form, click on submit button
  • Take print out of challan and pay the fees at respective branch
  • Keep payment sleep handy and take print out of application form

Selection Process of CBSC UGC National Eligibility Test

Aspirant has to appear for the written examination and have to face 3 written papers. If students clear all the three papers, which means he passes all the 3 section and get more marks than cut off set by the commission. He will be awarded with passing certificate.

There will be MCQ (Multiple choice question) in the examination. each wrong marks will give you Negative marking.

Paper I: there will be 60 MCQ out of which 50 MCQ are compulsory. It will be general paper consist, math, gk, reasoning and English. Commission gives 90 minutes to solve this section.

Paper II: there are 50 MCQ and all are compulsory, 2 marks for each question and time duration is 90 Minutes. Questions will be asked from chosen subjects by you.

Paper III: in this section there will be 75 questions and all are required to answer. 150 minutes will be given to this examination. this section is descriptive in nature.

UGC NET Admit card:

CBSE will upload UGC NET Admit card 2017 on the official website of the commission. Hall ticket will be available prior to 15 days of the examination. Candidate can download hall ticket from the official web portal by using their User name and ID password which was given at the time of registration. Pl. note that without valid admit card, candidate will not be able to enter into examination hall. Apart from that candidate are advised to take any other government approved ID Proof at the time of examination.

UGC NET Answer key:

Once the examination will be over, commission will upload answer key as per the SET A, SET B, SET C & SET D. Candidates can check and download paper solution from the official web portal.

UGC NET Result

Once the paper checking process is over result will be uploaded on official website of the UGC NET.
